We are looking for a passionate, energetic, and experienced Store Manager to lead our coffee shop team. As the Store Manager, you will be the face of our shop, responsible for creating a welcoming, high-energy environment for customers while driving sales and operational excellence. You will take ownership of daily operations—from brewing the perfect cup to managing inventory and training staff—ensuring high standards of service, quality, and cleanliness are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, train, and onboard new employees and support staff.
- Create staff schedules that optimize coverage during busy periods.
- Motivate, coach, and develop team members to deliver exceptional service and career growth.
- Hold the team accountable to company standards, including grooming, uniform, and service protocols.
Operations & Quality Control
- Oversee daily opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain high coffee standards (espresso extraction, milk texturing) and ensure consistent product quality.
- Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations are strictly followed.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and reporting faults promptly.
Customer Experience
- Create a welcoming "community" atmosphere and act as a brand ambassador.
- Proactively interact with customers to build loyalty and handle complaints professionally.
- Ensure products are prepared promptly and to the highest standard.
- Take full profit and loss (P&L) accountability for the store.
- Manage inventory: order supplies (beans, milk, pastries), track inventory, and minimize waste.
- Process daily cash reconciliation and ensure accurate banking.
- Monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and identify opportunities to drive sales growth.
Requirements and Skills
- Experience: 1–2+ years of management experience in a fast-paced coffee shop, café, or similar hospitality environment.
- Coffee Knowledge: Hands-on experience with professional espresso machines and a deep passion for specialty coffee.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to connect with customers and staff.
- Availability: Flexible availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Skills: Strong organizational, financial acumen, and problem-solving skills under pressure.
