We are looking for a passionate and skilled Chef to lead our kitchen, creating high-quality, delicious, and consistent food for our guests. You will develop seasonal menus, manage daily food prep, maintain excellent food safety standards, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Menu & Creativity: Develop and execute creative, fresh, and seasonal cafe menus, including breakfast and lunch.
- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items to high quality standards.
- Consistency & Presentation: Ensure all dishes are prepared to spec and presented aesthetically to enhance customer experience.
- Stock & Ordering: Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and place orders with suppliers, while minimizing wastage.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a spotless kitchen workspace and strictly adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations, aiming for a high sanitation rating.
- Teamwork & Operations: Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service and handle customer special requests or allergies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Previous experience as a chef or cook in a café, bistro, or fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Culinary Knowledge: Proven ability to create menus, manage costs, and work with seasonal produce.
- Efficiency: Ability to work quickly and cleanly under pressure.
- Certifications: Food Hygiene Certificate preferred.
