The Boathouse Restaurant is uniquely positioned in a superb location overlooking Christchurch Quay. Situated in an idyllic setting on the banks of the River Stour, The Boathouse is just two minutes’ walk from Christchurch Priory and Christchurch town centre. During the summer months we are exceptionally busy, having built up a fantastic reputation for great service and amazing food. We are currently looking for Kitchen Porters to join our fantastic team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a clean KP area, properly washing and sorting crockery and cutlery, pots and pans.
- Keep dish area free of clutter and organised.
- Set up dish stations, including the commercial dishwasher and sinks.
- Change water of machines and sinks regularly, using chemicals correctly to ensure cleaning to a high standard.
- Cleaning and sterilising countertops, kitchen walls, stoves, ovens, grills and sinks.
- Assist in storing food.
- Emptying bins throughout service.
- Maintaining a clean and dry floor throughout the shift.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work hard, keeping a cool head in a busy work environment.
- Team player.
- Good verbal skills.
- Available to work weekends.
- There is a chance of progression for the right person who shows dedication and hard work.
