We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Remote Consignment Sales Consultant to join our marine dealership team. This remote position manages the entire consignment sales process—from intake to final sale—ensuring a seamless experience for sellers and buyers of boats, trailers, and marine equipment.
Responsibilities include:
- Client Interaction (Virtual): Primary contact for clients consigning boats, trailers, and marine equipment. Conduct consultations via phone, email, and video to explain the process and gather details. Promote and secure sales contracts through online listings and virtual consultations. Work with marketing to increase exposure and attract buyers.
- Remote Inventory Management: Maintain accurate digital records of inventory, including photos, condition reports, pricing, and status. Ensure product details are current and professionally presented online. Facilitate negotiations and guide clients through sales. Comply with dealership policies and legal regulations during transactions.
- Customer Service (Remote): Provide virtual support to buyers and sellers. Address questions and follow-ups promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Administrative Coordination: Manage digital documentation of inventory, contracts, and sales. Ensure records are complete and accurate. Coordinate with internal teams remotely. Support sales goals through strong virtual communication and teamwork.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Experience in retail or consignment sales, especially in marine industry, is desirable. Experience with inventory management and online sales platforms is a plus. Wholesale buying experience in boats, RVs, or automotive markets is preferred.
- Skills: Strong sales and customer service skills. Excellent communication abilities. Negotiation and closing skills. Organizational and detail-oriented skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online listing platforms. Knowledge of marine products and terminology. Ability to list boats online within 48 hours.
