Board is hiring a Solution Developer focused on Operational Planning to craft pre-configured solutions across key operational domains, including:
- Merchandise Planning (e.g. Merchandise Financial Planning, Range & assortment, Allocation and Replenishment)
- Supply Chain Planning (Inventory and Distribution Planning, S&OP, Demand Planning)
These solutions are core to Board’s strategic product direction, offering customers a structured starting point built on industry standards and adaptable building blocks. As a Solution Developer, you’ll work alongside the Product Owner to transform domain knowledge into scalable templates that enhance the speed and success of solution delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design reusable applications for demand planning, inventory optimization, merchandise financial planning, and more
- Work closely with the Product Owner to prioritize and shape backlog items
- Convert operational planning workflows into modular, easy-to-implement components
- Develop data models and business logic aligned with real-world planning scenarios
- Support documentation, testing, and demo creation for internal and external use
- Continuously improve solution features based on feedback from internal teams and early users
Requirements
Must-Have:
- 2–4 years of experience designing and building planning applications, ideally within supply chain or merchandise planning
- Familiarity with planning concepts such as demand forecasting, allocation, OTB, or replenishment
- Hands-on experience with planning platforms (e.g. Board, Anaplan, SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, o9, etc.)
- Strong skills in rule-based modeling, data workflows, UI/UX design for planning and data transformation/scripting.
- Excellent collaboration and problem-solving abilities
- Fluency in English; other languages are a plus
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with planning in retail, CPG, or manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of predictive analytics or statistical forecasting methods
- Experience with the Board platform is a plus
