We’re seeking a dynamic, strategic Global PMO Director to drive project delivery excellence across the US, Europe, and Asia. You will oversee a team of Project and Program Managers, establish and enforce delivery standards, and ensure predictable, high-quality outcomes for our customers and internal initiatives. This role is pivotal in aligning delivery execution with strategic goals, embedding structure and rigor, and fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership Governance
- Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of Project Managers and Program Managers, ensuring the right skills, levels, and capacity are in place to support business growth.
- Establish and manage PMO governance structures, frameworks, and operating rhythms to drive visibility, accountability, and alignment across regions.
- Define and enforce delivery standards, methodologies, and best practices to ensure consistency, predictability, and customer satisfaction.
- Provide executive visibility into portfolio health, project risks, financials, and business outcomes.
- Ensure partner awareness in all delivery models aligning governance and oversight for both internal projects and those executed with or by SI and consulting partners.
- Delivery Quality Standards
- Ensure projects and programs are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
- Drive proactive risk management, escalation processes, and issue resolution to safeguard delivery success.
- Create and maintain standard templates, playbooks, and checklists to elevate project discipline.
- Monitor adherence to ISO/industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC2, GDPR, etc.) where relevant.
- Oversee partner-delivered projects, ensuring they adhere to the same quality, methodology, and governance standards as internal delivery.
- Work closely with Systems Integrators (SIs), consulting partners, and alliance teams to align project management practices, share accountability, and guarantee consistency in customer outcomes.
- Portfolio Resource Management
- Manage global portfolio prioritization, ensuring resources are allocated effectively across strategic programs and customer delivery initiatives.
- Match the right project/program manager skillsets to the complexity and scale of initiatives (e.g., enterprise vs. mid-market SaaS deployments, internal transformation projects).
- Oversee project staffing, capacity planning, and regional workload balancing.
- Partner with Professional Services leadership and SI partners to ensure effective resourcing, onboarding, and alignment of external teams into the global delivery portfolio.
- Business Cadence Reporting
- Run global PMO cadences, including steering committees, executive updates, and delivery reviews.
- Produce clear, data-driven reporting on KPIs, portfolio status, risk exposure, and delivery quality.
- Partner with Finance, Customer Success, and Professional Services to ensure revenue recognition alignment, margin tracking, and delivery efficiency.
- Provide transparency into both direct and partner-led project performance, including delivery quality, customer satisfaction, and financial outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline delivery processes, reduce time-to-value, and improve customer experience.
- Benchmark against industry standards (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2, Agile/SCRUM, SAFe) and introduce innovations in delivery practices.
- Promote a culture of accountability, learning, and growth within the PMO function.
- Establish joint improvement initiatives with key SI partners to ensure continuous alignment of practices, skills, and customer-facing delivery excellence.
- 12+ years of experience in project/program management, with at least 5 years in a senior PMO leadership role in EPM SaaS or ERP Enterprise Software.
- Proven track record managing global teams across the US, Europe, and Asia.
- Deep expertise in SaaS delivery models, enterprise customer programs, and multi-region rollouts.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, SAFe, etc.).
- Experience managing both internal delivery teams and partner-led projects, including working with large Systems Integrators (SIs) and global consulting firms.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, executive presence, and communication skills.
- Strong financial acumen, able to align delivery execution with revenue and margin goals.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environment with specialization in FP&A, Consolidation, Retail Planning or Supply Chain Planning.
- A second language is a plus (Italian, French, German).
