The Role
The Platform Consultant plays a pivotal role in the sales process, working closely with prospective clients to demonstrate the value of our technology in a practical, tailored way. You will lead proofs of value (trials), configure the platform to reflect client use cases, and guide stakeholders from initial interest through to a confident buying decision. This is a highly client-facing role that requires a combination of product expertise, structured thinking, and strong communication skills. You will act as the bridge between our product and our clients, ensuring that the platform is clearly understood, relevant to their needs, and positioned to deliver meaningful impact.
Main Responsibilities
- Proof of Value Delivery
Lead the design and execution of proofs of value, tailoring the platform to reflect the specific needs and workflows of prospective clients. Configure the platform using client data and scenarios to demonstrate real, tangible outcomes. Guide clients through the proof of value process, ensuring clarity, engagement, and momentum. Define and track success criteria, ensuring proofs of value conclude with a clear and compelling case for adoption. - Product Expertise and Demonstration
Develop a deep understanding of the Board Intelligence platform, including core features, use cases, and differentiators. Deliver high-quality product demonstrations that are tailored to senior stakeholders and governance use cases. Translate complex product capabilities into clear, relevant benefits for non-technical audiences. - Sales Partnership
Work closely with the sales teams to support deal progression and conversion. Provide insight into client needs, objections, and decision drivers to inform sales strategy. Help position the platform effectively within complex buying groups and long sales cycles. - Client Engagement
Build credibility and trust with senior stakeholders, including Company Secretaries, executives, and governance teams. Facilitate workshops and working sessions to understand client requirements and align the platform to their priorities. Act as a confident and professional representative of Board Intelligence throughout the sales process. - Feedback and Continuous Improvement
Capture insights from proofs of value and client interactions to inform product development and roadmap priorities. Identify opportunities to improve the proof of value process, tools, and materials. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Consulting teams to refine how we demonstrate and deliver value.
Requirements
- Required Experience
Experience in a product-focused client-facing role within a SaaS environment. Experience delivering product demonstrations, workshops, or proofs of concept or value. Comfort working with data and configuring systems to reflect real-world use cases. Exposure to governance, reporting, or enterprise workflow tools is beneficial but not required. - Skills and Attributes
Strong analytical and structured thinking, with the ability to translate client needs into product solutions. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences. High level of attention to detail, particularly when configuring and presenting tailored solutions. Confident, credible presence when working with senior stakeholders. Collaborative mindset, working effectively with Sales, Product, and Consulting teams. Proactive and resourceful, able to navigate ambiguity and find solutions. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple proofs of value concurrently. Curiosity about technology and a desire to continuously deepen product expertise.
