For over 15 years Boam Automotive Engineering has been a family-run business, dedicated to providing quality services and repairs to ensure customer satisfaction. We have a commitment to excellence and invest a lot of money in training, equipment and workplace improvements, we want our team to develop but to also feel supported and happy in their working environment.

At Boam Automotive our workshop is modern, clean, fully equipped and heated. We have multiple channels for technical data to support our technicians and a Picoscope on hand as well as other testing equipment. Although we are a multibrand independent workshop we have invested in dealer diagnostics, which include Jaguar, Land Rover, BMW, Citroen and Peugeot.

We are currently seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles:

  • Diagnose mechanical issues and propose solutions
  • Perform vehicle inspections to identify potential problems
  • Carry out servicing, routine maintenance and repairs
  • Have a good understanding of electrical diagnosis and testing
  • Keep accurate records of work carried out using our management system

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Relevant qualifications in vehicle maintenance (NVQ Level 3). MOT tester desirable but not essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
