The Scenic Workshop Technician will support the delivery of high-quality vocational and technical education in scenic construction, set building, and production arts for learners aged 16–19. Working closely with teaching staff, the post holder will help create a safe, inclusive, and industry-informed learning environment where students can develop practical, professional-standard technical skills.
The role includes maintaining workshop facilities, tools, equipment, and materials, while supporting practical lessons, productions, and project-based learning. The post holder will assist students in developing skills in scenic construction, carpentry, prop-making, scenic finishing, and the safe use of workshop equipment, helping to prepare them for progression into theatre, live events, film, television, and the wider creative industries.
