We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Accounting to join our EMEA Controllers team in the Office of the CFO. This role is located in Manchester. Responsibilities Lead controller for Pershing Securities Limited and Pershing Securities International Limited Co‑ordination of monthly management accounts under UK FRS (IFRS equivalent) and US GAAP, including reporting, variance analysis, and US to UK GAAP differences for the Pershing legal entities Participation in daily control processes for the Pershing legal entities Oversight of fixed assets, analysis of major expenditure for internally developed software, management of the capitalisation process, owner attestation and impairment reviews Reconciliations – review and attest balance sheet substantiations Co‑ordination of annual financial statements for the two legal entities, liaison with auditors and other business areas Oversight and follow‑up on tasks undertaken by supporting off‑site accounting teams, stepping into detail and resolving issues to ensure delivery of overall accounting and strategic objectives as well as training and developing knowledge of off‑site teams Liaison with key stakeholders including Treasury and Regulatory reporting Disaster recovery for Pershing off‑site support team Ad hoc duties as required – many and varied Qualified accountant, with detailed understanding of revenue, accounts receivable processes and fixed assets Management and influencing of off‑site and offshore resources Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus Professional certification required [AM1] (e.g., CPA, CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Extensive years of progressive accounting/controllership experience in financial services or complex, regulated environments Experience with financial statement preparation and liaison with external auditors Experience with Oracle and BlackLine would be preferred Hands‑on involvement in automation initiatives, data quality improvements, and close acceleration Benefits BNY offers highly competitive compensation, benefits, and wellbeing programs rooted in a strong culture of excellence and our pay‑for‑performance philosophy.
