We are seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager to join our Mellon and BNY Investments team. This role is based in London.

Responsibilities

  • Managing assets independently within investment policy guidelines to achieve investment objectives.
  • Supervising a small team.
  • Implementing investment strategies consistent with client financial goals, risk tolerance, and applicable regulations.
  • Working with research, strategy team members and other portfolio team members.
  • Meeting with clients and prospects to communicate investment strategy and discuss market performance.
  • Independently implementing investment strategies for more complex funds/strategies.
  • Evaluating the performance of investments and making timely changes to meet investment objectives or allocation guidelines.
  • Analyzing and determining the client's appropriate level of risk based on time, preferences, expectations, and market conditions.
  • Contributing to team/firm profitability by ensuring retention and expansion of existing client relationships through superior investment performance and client services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience (advanced/graduate degree preferred).
  • Demonstrable investment experience.
  • Leadership experience desired.
  • CFA or MBA required.
  • Experience in fixed income, equities and ETFs desired.
