Job Summary Senior Specialist, Legal Entity Controller – Manchester, EMEA Controllers team, Office of the CFO. This role leads accounting and control processes for Pershing Channel Islands and Pershing Limited. Responsibilities Lead as Controller for Pershing Channel Islands and Pershing Limited. Oversee and review funding process and IMMS (cash) reconciliations for the Pershing legal entities. Coordinate monthly management accounts under UK FRS (IFRS equivalent) and US GAAP, including reporting, variance analysis, and US‑to‑UK GAAP differences. Participate in daily control processes for the Pershing legal entities. Oversee clearing cost accruals and review associated charges. Coordinate intercompany break management. Review and attest balance sheet substantiations during reconciliations. Coordinate annual financial statements for the two legal entities and liaise with auditors and other business areas. Oversee and follow up on tasks undertaken by supporting offsite accounting teams, stepping into detail to resolve issues and ensuring delivery of accounting and strategic objectives; train and develop offsite teams. Liaise with key stakeholders including Treasury and regulatory reporting. Support disaster recovery for Pershing offsite support team. Execute ad hoc duties as required—a variety of tasks. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree is a plus. Professional certification required (e.g., CPA, CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA); accountant on track to complete qualification considered. Several years of progressive accounting/controllership experience in financial services or complex, regulated environments. Experience with financial statement preparation and liaison with external auditors. Experience with Oracle and BlackLine preferred. Hands‑on involvement in automation initiatives, data quality improvements, and close acceleration. Detailed understanding of accounts payable processes and intercompany processes.
