Senior Director, Pershing EMEA Head of Engineering

We’re seeking a Head of Engineering (Senior Director) to join our BNY Pershing EMEA team. This role is based in Manchester or London.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountability for SMF24 / PCF49 Engineering, focusing on overseeing multiple global internal providers to deliver resilient, robust, performant, and scalable technology products and services to Pershing EMEA legal entities.
- Represent BNY Engineering to the Pershing EMEA executive team, legal entity boards, and committees.
- Engage in technical pre-sales activities, including RFP/RFI support and client workshops.
- Participate in global prioritization decisions, advocating for Pershing EMEA’s requirements.
- Contribute to technology and architecture strategy aligned with BNY Mellon policies and standards.
- Implement cybersecurity and risk management strategies to safeguard the business, in line with Board risk appetite and policies.
- Manage outsourcing and vendor relationships for third-party IT infrastructure services.
- Collaborate with senior IT leadership across Pershing, EMEA Regional, and International Technology teams.
Qualifications
- Degree or senior industry qualifications in Financial Services or Technology.
- Experience in senior management of an engineering function.
- Experience in a regulated financial services environment, preferably with personal regulatory responsibility.
- Proven track record in managing delivery of technology products and services through internal and external providers.
- Ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across an enterprise.
