We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Network Manager to join our Global Network Management team. This role is located in Manchester, UK.

Responsibilities

  • Market ownership: End-to-end ownership of individual markets, including understanding market nuances for securities and cash; assessing gaps and opportunities in BNY’s ability to service clients; applying a commercial mindset with a deep understanding of fees and value for money; managing stakeholders at CSDs, sub-custodians, and other key stakeholders; optimizing cost-revenue in the local market through fee renegotiation and competitive rates.
  • Contract negotiation & oversight: Manage appointments, terminations, and fee negotiations with sub-custodians and market infrastructures; support/executing ongoing assessments, due diligence, and day-to-day engagement.
  • Market development & advocacy: translate BNY’s end-to-end product value proposition to local market processes and client experience; engage with markets to drive efficiency and growth; direct market engagement with local infrastructures, regulators, and stakeholders; ensure BNY and client voices are reflected in partner advocacy efforts.
  • Crisis management: Manage local market crisis events from identification to resolution; coordinate activities across internal and external stakeholders; issue external notifications as needed.
  • Change management: Support strategic projects, including digitisation initiatives and implementation.
  • Communications: Create timely local market information for clients and internal stakeholders; collaborate with client-facing teams to deliver insights; contribute to marketing and thought leadership initiatives and webinars.
  • Risk management: Ensure changes to local market providers comply with risk and governance requirements; own local market infrastructure risk assessments and client-facing documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in global custody network management, operations, or client service management within banking is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player with a flexible attitude and the ability to contribute to the team’s overall success.
  • Ability to foster new relationships and work collaboratively with others.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office software.
