We're seeking a future team member for the role of Product Owner to join our Payments Enablement team in the Treasury Services business line. This role is located in Manchester - Hybrid. The Product Owner will lead one of two feature groups β Payment Initiation or Reference Data β within the User Interface Functions Product Group. The Product Owner defines and prioritizes the product development backlog, collaborates with stakeholders to gather requirements, and works closely with the development team to ensure the successful delivery of the product. This role leads a cross-functional delivery pod in understanding ever-changing user needs and prioritizing the delivery of solutions to provide the highest business value. The Product Owner also guides the team in understanding and consistently measuring performance metrics that inform the overall health of the Payment Initiation or Reference Data capabilities.
For Payment Initiation, the Product Owner will be responsible for designing and bringing to market capabilities that enable a diverse set of business users within BNY to execute critical payments required to run our business and deliver for Clients across segments. For Reference Data, the Product Owner will be responsible for designing and bringing to market features that enable a diverse set of business users within BNY to configure capabilities that control the payments experience for both external Clients and internal users at BNY.
In this role, youβll make an impact in the following ways:
- Work closely with business stakeholders and end-users to prioritize features that will deliver the highest business value to payment initiation or reference data capabilities, with the ultimate goal of delivering an industry-leading product.
- Partner with UX Design and Engineering teams to identify gaps in the user experience and make recommendations to improve in a measurable way.
- Define specifications for major features and effectively define proper measurement and instrumentation to analyze results post-release/launch.
- Coordinate and negotiate with other product teams to manage dependencies and ensure a high-quality product launch.
- Triage multi-dimensional product issues and recommend enhancements to mitigate and improve the product user experience.
To be successful in this role, weβre seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred.
- Sufficient years of experience in product management and agile methodology.
- Sufficient years of experience in Financial Services.
- Experience in both Product Management and Digital Transformation preferred.
- Strategic thinker and proficient problem solver with demonstrated ability to work independently.
