We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Specialist, Fund/Client Accounting to join our Global Institutional Accounting team. This role is located in Manchester.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting accounting services on behalf of assigned clients and funds, including driving Service Improvement plans, targeting efficiencies, enhancing processes and specialist review functions.
  • Perform routine Fund/Client Accounting responsibilities under supervision, including completion of daily valuations related to assigned funds.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner, escalating any issues to senior team members.
  • Review exceptions related to fund activity, such as pricing and transactions, to ensure no incorrect prices or trades are included in the valuation.

Qualifications

  • Financial industry knowledge preferred but not essential.
  • Demonstrates and promotes strong attention to detail with effective organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise workload and escalate appropriately.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office products, in particular utilising Excel spreadsheets. Experience using advanced functions would be desirable.
  • Quick to develop new skills and a pro-active approach to learning and training, with a focus on digital tools.
  • Understands and can respond to the varying demands experienced in a financial services environment.
  • Self-motivator with a desire to contribute to the team's successes.
