We are seeking a Corporate Security Engineering – Engineer Role located in Manchester or London.
Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end Engineering support for our global suite of Physical security applications.
- Migration to Genetec from legacy systems (e. g., C-CURE, Victor), including architecture, cutover planning, device onboarding, integrations, data/credential migrations, and stakeholder communications.
- Plan and execute system updates, firmware upgrades, and patches; validate rollback plans and change records.
- Support break/fix and incident management across the Physical Security application space.
- Onboard and implement emerging technology solutions such as biometrics and video analytics offerings.
- Partner closely with Physical Security operations, Network/Cloud Engineering, Cybersecurity, Risk/Compliance, and Facilities/Real Estate to align platform capabilities with business needs and controls.
Qualifications
- Experience in physical security engineering, with experience in leading engineering teams or managing a global/remote team.
- Hands‑on expertise with major Physical Access Security systems including CCure 9000, Victor Video, Genetec Security solutions, including architecture/design, configuration, device onboarding, and operations at enterprise scale.
- Experience migrating from legacy PACS/CCTV platforms (e. g., Software House C CURE 9000, Victor Video) to Genetec, including cutover strategies and stakeholder coordination.
- Strong Windows and Linux server administration skills; proficiency with SQL, Power Shell, and at least one additional scripting language (e. g., Python) for automation and API integrations.
- Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, multicast/unicast, Qo S, VPN, and firewall concepts; experience collaborating with network teams to design resilient architectures.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity practices, vulnerability management, identity/access governance, and logging/SIEM integrations; ability to partner effectively with Cyber and Risk/Compliance.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills; comfortable driving outcomes across business and technology partners.
