We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Manager, Mutual Funds to join our Pershing EMEA team. Pershing provides a broad range of financial business solutions to investment banks, broker‑dealers, wealth managers, financial planners and advisers across EMEA. This role is located in Manchester.

Responsibilities

  • Management of an operational team dealing with Fund related activities, including both hands‑on management and strategic planning.
  • Handling Fund Manager Account Openings, Fund Manager AML Due Diligence, Share Class Conversions, Fund trading activities – STP and manual – and Fund Settlements.
  • Developing policies and processes to ensure the volume of work meets product/service standards, and implementing process improvements to enhance stakeholder experience.
  • Ensuring all tasks and duties within the team’s responsibility are completed accurately and on time, escalating any material issues.
  • Recruiting, directing, motivating and developing staff to maximize individual contribution and professional growth.
  • Reviewing and resolving client queries in line with expectations, delivering a high level of client service internally and externally.
  • Maintaining departmental control models, producing MI, and monitoring KRIs/KPIs to minimise regulatory breaches.
  • Co‑ordinating testing, ensuring test scripts reflect live processes, and supporting software releases.
  • Ensuring the team’s adherence to Records Management and Business Continuity policies and safeguarding information accuracy.
  • Undertaking projects or tasks as required, including new client presentations and onboarding projects.
  • Allocating resources and ensuring projects are on schedule.
  • Taking a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • Any other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience leading and managing teams.
  • Direct experience dealing with a wide range of employee relations activities.
  • Detailed and sustained operational experience.
  • Strong systems skills and ability to define MI/ manipulate data – must be skilled in Microsoft Excel.
  • Nice to have: experience with continuous improvement, robotics, process efficiency.
  • Nice to have: funds experience.
