The AV Production Technician operates, troubleshoots and maintains AV systems to deliver seamless meetings and events across BNY's control rooms and technologyâenabled spaces, providing handsâon live support, managing media and content, and collaborating across teams to ensure highâquality delivery.
Responsibilities- Operate cameras, microphones, loudspeakers, switchers, routers, intercom and control systems for internal events
- Support live production: video mixing, source routing, audio support and realâtime troubleshooting
- Prepare, ingest and manage event media/content; ensure playback readiness
- Set up and break down complex production equipment; manage cabling and power safely
- Operate videoconferencing platforms and webcasting
- Conduct consultations with organisers to capture requirements and event logistics
- Edit event recordings and distribute finalised media to stakeholders on schedule
- Assist the AV Operations team with troubleshooting, maintaining and validating video conference equipment and AV systems in production workspaces and control rooms
- Ensure seamless AV experiences for executive meetings and events
- Set up and operate videoconferencing systems and live webcasts
- Resolve AV issues rapidly during live events to minimise disruptions
- Assist with equipment testing, maintenance and configuration
- Create and maintain event documentation: runbooks, equipment logs and workflows
- Contribute to continuous improvement of AV processes and operational efficiency
- Stay current with emerging AV technologies, hardware, software and industry trends
- Support asset audits and lifecycle management
- Experience in corporate AV production or live event environments
- Excellent troubleshooting skills in highâpressure, live event situations
- Experience with microphone RF management and maintenance
- Basic understanding of video routing systems and production signal flow
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail; solid documentation habits
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; comfortable collaborating across functional teams
- Familiarity with common production ecosystems (e.g., Blackmagic ATEM, NewTek TriCaster, Dante, Q SYS, Crestron)
- Knowledge of enterprise video conferencing platforms and room control systems (e.g., Microsoft Teams Rooms, Cisco/Webex, Crestron)
- Basic nonâlinear editing (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
