We are looking for a hands-on, AI-forward Product Owner to own and drive delivery of GenAI and agentic automation solutions within BNY's centralized AI Transformation Office, serving Markets and Execution lines of business. This is not a traditional product role. A BAU Product Owner manages backlogs and writes user stories. An AI-forward Product Owner understands what LLMs and agentic systems can and cannot do, shapes requirements around those capabilities, and moves at the speed AI enables. They are as comfortable discussing prompt design and agent behaviour as they are running a sprint review.

  • Define, prioritize, and own the product backlog for AI-powered solutions across assigned LOBs - with a deep understanding of how GenAI and agentic capabilities translate into business value.
  • Partner directly with LOB stakeholders to surface opportunities, validate use cases, and ensure every initiative is commercially grounded and execution-ready.
  • Work hands-on with engineering to design AI workflows, evaluate model outputs, and iterate rapidly - not just hand off requirements and wait.
  • Drive consistent prioritization and governance across workstreams, ensuring builds are measured, sequenced, and aligned to the office mandate.
  • Identify and eliminate duplication across LOB AI efforts, extending and amplifying what already exists rather than rebuilding from scratch.

A number of years product experience, with recent, demonstrable experience owning AI or GenAI products - not just working adjacent to them.

Required Skills
  • Hands-on experience with LLM-powered products - understanding of model behaviour, prompt design, and agentic workflow patterns.
  • Strong stakeholder management across complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Proficiency with AI productivity tools in day-to-day workflow - Jira, Confluence, and AI-native tooling for analysis, documentation, and ideation.
  • Proven ability to translate ambiguous business problems into structured, shippable product requirements.
Preferred
  • Experience with agentic frameworks or workflow automation platforms.
  • Familiarity with RAG architectures, vector databases, or LLM evaluation methods.
  • Background in financial services - Markets, Execution, or related domains.
  • Agile / SAFe delivery experience at scale.
