An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading global financial services organisation within its Investment Operations and Asset Servicing division, supporting wealth managers, institutional clients, broker-dealers, and investment platforms across EMEA.
This is a Senior Associate-level position, suited to candidates with strong operational experience and proven people leadership capability, operating within a high-performing, high-volume environment. The team supports the full operational lifecycle of investment products including Mutual Funds, OEICs, Unit Trusts, ETFs, and other collective investment vehicles, ensuring transactions, settlements, reconciliations, and client servicing activities are delivered accurately within a highly regulated framework.
The Opportunity
This role offers broad exposure across Funds and Custody Operations, with responsibility for both hands-on delivery and team oversight, including:
- Processing subscriptions, redemptions, switches, and fund transactions
- Monitoring settlements and trade processing activities
- Performing cash and stock reconciliations and investigating breaks
- Managing failed trades, discrepancies, and exception resolution
- Supporting client onboarding and KYC processes
- Managing queries from clients, advisers, and internal stakeholders
- Liaising with custodians, transfer agents, fund managers, and internal teams
- Supporting corporate actions and exception management activities
- Producing operational reporting, KRIs, scorecards, and MI
- Supporting operational controls, audit requirements, and regulatory processes
- Driving process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives
Senior Associate Responsibilities
- Acting as an escalation point for complex operational issues
- Supporting workflow allocation, oversight, and prioritisation
- Reviewing operational controls, governance, and risk reporting
- Leading or contributing to change, transformation, and automation initiatives
- Mentoring and developing junior team members
- Partnering with stakeholders across Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Technology
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience within Investment Operations, Financial Services Operations, Custody, Funds, or Transfer Agency
- Proven experience in people management, team leadership, or supervisory responsibilities
- Strong experience in reconciliations, settlements, or transaction processing
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume workflows and meet tight deadlines
- Strong operational control mindset with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to investigate, resolve, and elevate complex operational issues
- Strong organisational and problem-solving capabilities
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, lookups, pivots, reporting)
- Fund Administration or Custody Operations background
- Exposure to Corporate Actions or Securities Operations
- NAV, pricing, or exception management experience
- Client Assets / CASS knowledge
- Experience contributing to process improvement or automation initiatives
- Exposure to systems such as Bloomberg, SimCorp, or similar platforms
- Experience supporting control frameworks, audit, or regulatory processes
