We’re seeking a Vice President, Sanctions Investigations, to join our Global Sanctions Compliance team in London (Hybrid working model).

Risk and Compliance provide essential services across all BNY businesses, including Risk Management, Compliance, Global Corporate Security, Information Risk Management, and Global Business Continuity. Risk Management oversees risk services and ensures new business risks are reviewed and approved. Compliance ensures our businesses adhere to applicable laws, regulations, BNY policies, and ethics. In EMEA, Compliance is divided into four pillars: Business Compliance, Compliance Testing, Anti-Financial Crime, and Architecture and Governance. Business Compliance acts as the second line of defense on compliance and regulatory issues, assisting businesses with regulatory requirements, best practices, and relationships.

In this role, you will:

  • Review and act on OFAC, OFSI, and EU economic sanctions alert escalations
  • Conduct investigations, review, and approve alert dispositions and requests for additional information
  • Collaborate with internal partners on complex transaction alerts, sanctions restrictions, and jurisdictional considerations
  • Support the bank in making informed decisions regarding sanctions-related legal, regulatory, or reputational risks

To succeed, you should have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher accreditation
  • Experience in Financial Services, Audit, or Compliance
  • Expert knowledge of OFAC regulations and non-U.S. sanctions regulations
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills
