We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, eFX Analytics Developer to join our team. This role is located in London.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in KDB+/q development and Python programming, combined with a solid foundation in data science and financial modeling. This role requires hands-on experience in a front-office trading environment, with a deep understanding of FX and STIRT instruments. You will play a critical role in developing and enhancing analytics tools that support trading strategies and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize high-performance analytics applications using KDB+/q and Python.
- Collaborate with quantitative analysts and traders to translate financial models into scalable code.
- Analyze and interpret large datasets to support trading decisions and risk assessments.
- Implement and validate financial models related to FX and STIRT instruments.
- Work closely with front-office teams to understand business requirements and deliver timely solutions.
- Ensure code quality, performance, and robustness in a fast-paced trading environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by adopting new technologies and best practices.
Qualifications
- Required:
- Proven experience in KDB+/q development within a financial context.
- Strong proficiency in Python programming, including data analysis libraries.
- Background in data science techniques and their application to financial data.
- Familiarity with front-office trading workflows and requirements.
- Solid understanding of FX and Short-Term Interest Rate (STIRT) instruments and markets.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred:
- Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience with other programming languages or technologies relevant to trading analytics.
- Knowledge of risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements.
