We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, 1LOD Risk, Digital Assets to join our Product & Innovation Hub 1LOD Risk, Controls & Resiliency team.
This role is located in London.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways
- Support risk assessments for new digital asset products, services, and processes by identifying potential risks and assisting in evaluating appropriate controls and mitigants.
- Collaborate with digital asset product and operational teams to help incorporate risk and control considerations into business processes and initiatives.
- Develop foundational knowledge of the regulatory landscape, including U. S. and global regulations relevant to digital assets and banking.
- Partner with internal stakeholders (e. g., compliance, information security, sourcing, resiliency) to support required risk and control activities and reviews.
- Support regulatory engagement efforts by preparing documentation, tracking requests, and contributing to meeting materials as needed.
- Conduct research on digital asset industry trends and best practices and provide input on potential enhancements to risk and control frameworks.
- Help track issues, action items, and risk remediation efforts, ensuring appropriate follow-up and documentation.
- Collaborate with colleagues in second and third lines of defense to support risk governance and oversight activities.
- Contribute to training materials and awareness efforts related to risk, controls, and resiliency within the digital assets business.
- Participate in enterprise risk framework activities, supporting execution and documentation requirements for the digital assets business.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following
- Strong experience, preferably in risk, controls, compliance, audit, operations, or a related field.
- Exposure to financial services or digital assets/blockchain is a plus but not required.
- Basic understanding of risk management principles, including risk identification, assessment, and control evaluation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly to a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams, including interaction with product, operations, and risk/control partners.
- Familiarity with policies, procedures, or control documentation is a plus.
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
