We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Specialist, Fund/Client Accounting I to join our Global Institutional Accounting Limited Partnership Accounting and Administration Services (GIA LPAAS) team. This role is located in Manchester.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily/monthly audit cycle for GIA clients who hold Private Equity investments. This entails the validation of positions, transactions and NAV between the records of BNY and Investment Managers of the Bank’s clients.
- Complete all relevant daily, weekly & monthly assigned tasks to ensure that all client SLA’s are achieved in-line with agreed deadlines and expected standards.
- Ensure all activity and valuation processing is completed timely and accurately in line with our client deadlines.
- Own the tracking and processing of Capital Call payments for your assigned clients.
- Interact with clients to answer questions regarding reporting and accounting processes.
- Provide frequent and consistent communication updates, ensuring that any potential internal or external service level breaches are escalated.
- Assist in maintaining a high level of morale within the team and department by displaying a positive, productive and professional work ethic.
- Open strong communication links with other operational areas and key service providers to establish standardisation in working practices whenever possible.
Qualifications
- Financial industry knowledge preferred.
- Private Equity and other Alternatives asset knowledge preferred but not essential.
- Attention to detail, good organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise to meet stringent demands.
- Effective written and oral communication skills with a proven ability to communicate with stakeholders and team members.
- Excellent numerical skills, with accurate manipulation and analysis of data.
- Experience of using Microsoft Office products, in particular utilising Excel spreadsheets. Experience using advanced functions would be desirable.
- Quick to acquire new skills and promotes the development of others.
- Understands the high-stakes nature of the financial services environment and can confidently navigate the varying demands of the role.
- Self-motivator with a desire to contribute to the team's successes.
