Job Description We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist, Legal Entity Controller to join our EMEA Controllers team in the Office of the CFO.

This role is located in Manchester.

Responsibilities Lead Controller for Pershing Channel Islands and Pershing Limited.

Oversight and review of the Funding process and IMMS (cash) reconciliations for the Pershing legal entities.

Coordinate monthly management accounts under UK FRS (IFRS equivalent) and US GAAP, including reporting, variance analysis, and US to UK GAAP differences for the Pershing legal entities.

Participate in daily control processes for the Pershing legal entities.

Oversee clearing cost accruals and review of charges.

Coordinate intercompany breaks management.

Reconciliations – review and attest balance sheet substantiations.

Coordinate annual financial statements for the two legal entities, liaising with auditors and other business areas.

Oversee and follow up on tasks undertaken by supporting offsite accounting teams, being prepared to step into the detail and resolve issues to ensure delivery of overall accounting and strategic objectives as well as training and developing knowledge of offsite teams.

Liaise with key stakeholders including Treasury and Regulatory reporting.

Disaster recovery for Pershing offsite support team.

Ad-hoc duties as required – many and varied.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree is a plus.

Professional certification required (e. g., CPA, CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA); an accountant or on-track to complete accounting qualification will be considered.

Several years of progressive accounting/controllership experience in financial services or complex, regulated environments.

Experience with financial statement preparation and liaison with external auditors.

Experience with Oracle and Blackline is preferred.

Hands‑on involvement in automation initiatives, data quality improvements, and close acceleration.
