Role
We're seeking a future team member for the role of Manager, Cash & Payments Team to join our UK Trustee & Depositary team. This role is located in Edinburgh.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end payment process across onshore and offshore locations, ensuring consistency of controls and standards.
- Conduct regular service reviews, quality assurance assessments of the offshore team ensuring service delivery meets agreed SLAs and KPIs.
- Maintain up-to-date procedures and documentation in line with regulatory expectations.
- Identify, manage and escalate payment related risks, incidents and breaches ensuring incidents, errors and near misses are logged, investigated and resolved with root cause analysis.
- Contribute at Operational Risk and Governance Forums.
- Act as a key contact for internal stakeholders, including Compliance, Internal Audit, Risk and Client Management.
- Escalation contact for client and internal stakeholder queries and escalations from the offshore team.
- Support change initiatives, including regulatory change, new fund launches, onboardings and other fund changes.
- Manage, develop and mentor the staff within the UK Cash and Payments Team, ensuring high standards of performance and technical knowledge.
- Allocate workloads, set objectives, and conduct performance reviews.
- Promote a strong risk-aware and control focused culture within the team.
- Provide support to the other Fund Oversight Teams and the wider UK Trustee & Depositary teams.
Qualifications
- Strong experience within Trustee and Depositary, Fund Administration or Asset Servicing.
- In-depth knowledge of FCA, CASS, UCITS and AIFMD regulatory requirements.
- Proven people management experience within an operational or oversight environment.
- Strong risk awareness and understanding of control frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
