We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Network Manager to join our Global Network Management team. team. This role is located in Manchester, UK
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Market ownership: End to end ownership of individual markets to include:
- understanding of market nuances for securities and cash,
- assessment of gaps and opportunities in BNY’s ability to service clients,
- commercial mindset with deep understanding of fees paid & value for money for the service received.
- stakeholder management at CSD’s and sub-custodians and other key stakeholders.
- Cost-revenue optimization in the local market through fee re-negotiation and competitive interest rate to yield higher return.
- Contract negotiation & ongoing oversight: Responsible for Appointments, Terminations and fee negotiations with Sub-Custodians and market infrastructures. Responsible for Supporting / Executing Ongoing assessments, Due Diligence & day-to-day engagement.
- Market Development & Advocacy: identify opportunities to contribute to market trajectory enhancement, efficiency, or growth via:
- Ability to clearly translate the BNY end-to-end product value proposition from local market processes through our selected CSD or sub-custodian connectivity through to the BNY client experience, including but not limited to account opening, trading, and post-trade services.
- Responsible for bringing the custody organization closer to the market; driving, anticipating & reacting in an agile way to changes in the local market.
- Direct market engagement with local infrastructures, regulators and key stakeholders to lobby, advocate, support development opportunities
- CSD and sub-custodian engagement to ensure the voice of BNY and its clients are incorporated into our Sub-Custodians own advocacy efforts
- Crisis management:Accountable for management of local market crisis events, from identification through to resolution. Responsible for communicating and coordinating activities across internal stakeholders and partners & issuing external notifications as needed.
- Change management: Responsible for supporting strategic projects including digitisation initiatives through to implementation.
- Communications: Responsible for:
- Identification and creation of timely local market information to ensure impactful market news to clients and internal business stakeholders.
- Working collaboratively with the Client facing Teams in deliveringlocal market insights to BNYclients that would allow them to have a better understanding of the local markets or products and understanding of BNY’s product offering.
- contributing to marketing and communication initiatives including thought leadership and webinars.
- Risk management: Responsible for ensuring that all changes to local market providers are implemented in accordance with appropriate risk and governance requirements. Ownership of local market infrastructure risk assessment and client-facing market oversight documentation
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Sufficient years of appropriate work experience, preferably banking industry experience in global custody network management, operations, or client service management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Team player with a flexible attitude and ability to make extensive contributions to the overall success of the team.
- Ability to foster new relationships and work collaboratively with others.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office software.
