We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Application Development Manager to join our Trustee & Depositary (T&D) Engineering team. This role is located in Manchester, United Kingdom.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain high quality, scalable software applications across the full software development lifecycle in a modern agile POD setup.
  • Build and enhance Java based, containerized microservices and contribute to cloud ready application architectures supporting T&D Modernisation.
  • Analyse, modify, and optimize existing applications to meet evolving business, regulatory, and technical requirements.
  • Apply agile engineering practices, including CI/CD, test automation, code reviews, and AI assisted development, to improve delivery quality and efficiency.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Hands on experience in Java based application development within an enterprise environment.
  • Exposure to containerized microservices, modern build pipelines, and relational databases (Oracle preferred), with understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
  • Experience working in agile delivery environments (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe) with a strong focus on code quality, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • An AI first mindset with a passion for modern engineering practices, continuous improvement, and automation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective work across cross functional teams.
