We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Tax Management Manager to join our Wealth Services Operations team. This role is located in Manchester.

The Vice President, Tax Management Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing client operations and reporting functions within BNY.

This position is critical in ensuring that client service standards are met and exceeded by effectively managing client relationships and operational processes.

By aligning with BNY's strategic pillars and principles, the role contributes to fostering a culture of trust, operational excellence, and client-centric service.

Emphasizing collaboration and innovation, this position supports the organization's commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences and operational efficiency.

BNY’s Wealth Services platform is a dynamic, next-generation ecosystem that leverages advanced data analytics, intuitive digital tools, and seamless third-party integrations to streamline operations and empower advisors to deliver personalized, world-class wealth experiences at unprecedented scale.

The Transaction Taxes team covers taxes including Stamp Duty, Irish Stamp Duty, Financial Transaction Tax and PTM Levy. Key tasks include:

  • Application of tax rules to operational processes, ensuring tax accounted for where applicable.
  • Analysis and input to detail across the trade lifecycle for transaction taxes treatment.
  • Verification of stamp duty nominal balances between extract and Nexus to substantiate on a daily basis.
  • Investigation and resolution of SDRT/Stamp Duty exceptions.
  • Creation of payments in line with HMRC/Revenue Commissioner deadlines.
  • Investigation and preparation of SDRT/Stamp Duty reclaims for submission to Revenue
  • Processing of reclaimed SDRT /Stamp Duty funds.
  • Account for stamp duty on rolling basis for unpaid CREST items (UK and Irish).

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways

  • Play a key role within Tax Management team by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence, ensuring alignment with BNY's principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve operational efficiencies, ensuring timely and accurate client reporting.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing their needs and concerns with professionalism and expertise.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, maintaining the highest standards of operational integrity and risk management.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field required. Advanced degree or professional certifications in finance or business administration preferred.
  • Several years of Tax management experience.
  • Experience in financial services operations, wealth operations, settlements and transaction tax preferred.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills across diverse teams, with excellent interpersonal skills for client interactions.
  • Demonstrable interest in continuous learning and delivery of process improvements, including the use of digital tools and AI.
