We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Specialist, Tax Reporting & Compliance II to join our Client Custody Operations team. This role is located in Manchester.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Serve as primary contact point for client tax inquiries—responding accurately and promptly.
  • Supported by comprehensive training and mentorship, become your clients’ custody-tax service expert—serving as their primary liaison on withholding-tax rules and processes across key markets and guiding them through market-specific requirements.
  • Proactively review your client portfolios, tax entitlements and outstanding documentation to identify opportunities, flag risks and communicate clear, actionable guidance.
  • Assist your clients in completing and submitting tax forms tracking progress.
  • Analyze reclaim activity, prepare summary reports and keep clients updated on outstanding items and recovery timelines.
  • Lead client calls to discuss documentation status, market changes and bespoke tax matters, ensuring full transparency and next-step alignment.
  • Monitor service metrics and feedback; collaborate with peers and management to design and implement targeted improvement plans.
  • Maintain and enhance internal processes, playbooks and training materials to drive standardization, quality and efficiency.
  • Contribute to our Working Together culture—sharing knowledge, mentoring peers and championing continuous learning.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Tax or equivalent, or 2–4 years’ experience in financial-services operations or tax reporting—ideally in a client-facing capacity.
  • Understanding of global withholding-tax frameworks, the Custody Chain and operational life-cycles.
  • Exceptional communicator with the ability to distill technical tax concepts into clear, client-friendly language.
  • Highly organized, with proven ability to prioritize competing requests by urgency, complexity and risk.
  • Driven by accountability, collaboration and a relentless focus on client success.
  • Proficiency in a second language (Spanish/German/French/Dutch or Italian) is a plus.
