We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Financial Data Reconciliation & Automation Analyst to join BNY’s Reconciliation Platform. This role is located in Manchester, UK.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the integrity of data and exception workflows, partnering with Operations and Technology to deliver automation, insights, and process improvements.
- Leverage advanced agentic AI solutions to reduce break volumes, accelerate resolution, and enhance client outcomes.
- Lead and develop a high‑performing team, prioritising and delivering initiatives that strengthen controls, reduce risk, and continuously improve processes and user journeys.
- Oversee the application of intelligence to reconciliation and exception data, guiding the team to identify trends and root causes, and directing the proposal and implementation of AI automation initiatives.
- Lead the identification of opportunities, foster innovation, and supervise the design and deployment of agentic AI solutions.
- Ensure effective utilization of technology capabilities to enhance scalability, client service, and risk reduction across the team.
- Guide the analysis and optimization of user journeys and process flows by applying BNY principles, promote and deliver agile practices.
- Oversee the reconciliation ecosystem across cash, positions, and transactions; set standards, review critical outputs, and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Ensure team proficiency across products supported by the group (Custody, Alternatives, Fund Services, Middle Office, Wealth Services); align training and coverage to demand.
- Direct exception management with urgency and discipline, escalating per governance and risk protocols; track resolution metrics and drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain robust documentation, controls, and audit readiness; oversee change releases, UAT, and defect management to protect service quality.
- Partner with Operations, Technology, Risk, and Client Service to coordinate communications, remove impediments, and meet SLAs.
- Assign and prioritize work, optimize resource allocation, and manage team performance; coach and upskill staff, lead process improvements, and own outcomes for completion, quality, and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field required.
- Minimum of 2 years of related, hands‑on experience.
- Demonstrable interest and awareness in the potential of artificial intelligence (AI).
- Ability to self‑manage, prioritize, and execute workload.
- Familiarity with technical applications to include, but not limited to, Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities to manage complex transaction processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and internal teams.
- Evidence of leading successful optimization/re‑engineering of operational processes through data‑driven, analytical approaches.
