We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Business Technology Liaison Senior Specialist to join our team. This role is located in Manchester, UK.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways
- Analyze and define business requirements and functional or operational specifications for small to moderate sized projects of limited complexity.
- Formulate and define system scope and objectives.
- Interface with all areas of IT on behalf of the business to resolve IT matters and improve business processes.
- Collect and define business or functional requirements and translate them into functional design, test planning, and user documentation processes.
- Formulate project scope, objectives, constraints, and assumptions based upon user needs as well as knowledge of the application.
- Participate in development of the functional design and user documentation by analyzing business process flows or client requests and identifying changes.
- Use knowledge of business needs to provide design support to software and application development teams.
- Gather information and provide analysis of business issues or client feedback for a specific function or application.
- Train users on new or enhanced applications and/or systems that are more straightforward in nature.
- Support testing of new or enhanced applications and/or systems.
Tasks include case development, requirement traceability analysis, test preparation, script writing, and functional test execution.
- Identify areas for improvement and work with technology teams to improve applications for business use.
- Use general knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements and BNY corporate policies involving risk and control to support the development of improved business processes through technology.
- Provide guidance to less experienced colleagues as needed.
- Contribute to the achievement of team objectives.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Technical experience preferred.
