Description
Manages a medium to large-sized team of Product Owners supporting one large product or multiple products.
Requires a comprehensive knowledge of the product and market.
Strategic vision for the product or solution.
Proficiency in Lean-Agile principles at scale.
Competency in roadmap development and feature prioritization.
Strong communication and leadership skills for cross-team coordination.
Market and customer insight to guide product direction.
Primary responsibilities include: Leading initiatives to successfully manage moderately complex product life cycles, from development through marketing.
Ensuring collaboration, communication and escalation.
Help to remove obstacles.
Provides advanced guidance on product management processes and methods to ensure products are aligned with client needs.
Reviews final products and strategies for major project initiatives, providing direction as needed.
Recruits, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
Works closely with Product Owners to align team backlogs with program vision.
Participates in PI planning and other program level ceremonies.
Ability to influence, persuade and collaborate with stakeholders, including customers without authority.
Manages one or more product management teams.
Contributes to the achievement of team objectives.
Modified based upon local regulations/requirements.
Bachelor's degree in business management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of related experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
