- We’re seeking a future team member for the role of
- Senior Director, Data Management Manager to join our team. This role is located in
London and will lead a strategic data management function supporting enterprise and business priorities.
This leader will operate at the intersection of business, data, technology, risk, governance, and transformation.
They will be expected to strengthen data management capabilities, drive execution excellence, and identify opportunities to improve data quality, governance, controls, accessibility, and business value through modern data practices, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways
- Lead a critical Data Management function, setting direction for data strategy execution, governance, quality, control, and organizational performance.
- Define and execute the strategic vision for the function, aligning data management priorities with business goals, regulatory expectations, risk requirements, and long-term transformation objectives.
- Build and lead high-performing teams across a large-scale organization, ensuring strong organizational design, leadership capability, workforce planning, and alignment to enterprise priorities.
- Drive the development of scalable, resilient, and well-controlled data management practices that improve data quality, transparency, accessibility, consistency, and trust across key domains.
- Partner across Business, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and other stakeholder groups to align investments, priorities, and execution plans with strategic data objectives.
- Advance execution excellence through stronger process discipline, governance routines, issue remediation, control adoption, performance management, and continuous improvement.
- Lead the implementation and maturation of data governance frameworks, including standards, ownership models, controls, lineage, metadata, and accountability structures.
- Identify and scale opportunities to apply automation and AI-enabled capabilities to improve data monitoring, issue detection, workflow efficiency, decision-making, and operating leverage.
- Drive data quality improvement initiatives, ensuring critical data elements are managed with appropriate controls, measurement, remediation processes, and business ownership.
- Lead risk, control, and operational oversight across the function, ensuring strong governance, resiliency, regulatory awareness, and disciplined execution in a highly controlled environment.
- Manage budgets, resource allocation, and investment priorities in support of strategic plans and sustainable business performance.
- Recruit, develop, and retain strong talent while fostering an inclusive, accountable, and high-performance culture grounded in collaboration, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
- Represent the organization in senior leadership forums, translating data priorities, transformation opportunities, and management outcomes into clear business value.
- Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and senior leaders, serving as a strategic partner who can navigate complexity, solve problems, and drive alignment across a matrixed organization.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required; advanced degree preferred.
- Significant experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry, with strong exposure to enterprise data management, governance, data quality, controls, or data strategy.
- Extensive experience in a senior leadership role leading large-scale data, governance, operations, or business functions in complex enterprise environments.
- Proven ability to lead large, matrixed organizations, including demonstrated success in people leadership, organizational design, and leadership development.
- Strong track record of delivering transformation and modernization initiatives at scale, including process redesign, governance enhancement, operating model improvement, and control adoption.
- Demonstrated experience applying automation, data, and AI-enabled capabilities to improve productivity, transparency, data quality, governance outcomes, or business decision-making.
- Deep understanding of operational risk, controls, governance, and regulatory expectations in highly regulated environments.
- Strong business and stakeholder leadership skills, with the ability to influence across business, technology, risk, compliance, operations, and senior leadership teams.
- Experience managing budgets, workforce planning, and strategic investment prioritization.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain trusted business partnerships across a matrixed organization.
- Strong judgment, problem-solving capability, and execution discipline in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading enterprise or domain-level data management programs, including data governance, quality, metadata, lineage, and stewardship models.
- Strong understanding of data lifecycle management and the role of data in supporting reporting, analytics, operations, controls, and client outcomes.
- Experience leading organizations through operating model transformation in support of growth, resiliency, scalability, and stronger governance.
- Familiarity with modern data platforms, data controls, governance tooling, and data operating model practices.
