We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Compliance Governance Reporting Lead to join our LINE of Compliance team. This role is located in Manchester - hybrid.
Supports execution and continuous improvement of the Compliance Risk Management and reporting. Specifically:
- Establish consistent compliance risk reporting standards at the Firm-wide, regional and business levels to promote effective oversight and informed, timely decision-making.
- Articulate clear principles that inform the design and production of relevant compliance risk reports across the Firm.
- Document effective reporting change management processes and guidelines.
- Ensure report audit trails are well documented and process is repeatable.
- Identify and escalate data quality concerns in reporting.
- Support development of business requirements for reporting automation.
- Ensure Compliance interests are considered in reporting automation, dashboards, AI and machine learning initiatives.
May support additional Compliance Governance processes, including:
- Supports the documentation of process maps for key compliance processes.
- Supports execution and oversight of key compliance initiatives.
- Supports the oversight and management of Global Compliance Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), including gaps and action plans.
- Support the Ethics office on reporting and QA tasks.
- Supports regulatory and Internal Audit liaison, including exam management and response.
General Responsibilities:
- Contributes to the development of projects and programs to improve compliance and enhance the control environment.
- Analyses control processes to ensure they are in compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations.
- Validates the appropriateness of control processes or guides the assigned business units in implementing improvements.
- Uses strong partnerships with managers in the assigned business unit to respond to reports issued by regulatory agencies or audit.
- Contributes to assessments of the effectiveness of controls that help ensure ongoing compliance with key laws, regulations and policies affecting BNY Mellon businesses.
- May contribute to the development of recommendations for corrective action and issue tracking to ensure resolution efforts proceed timely and effectively.
- Contributes to the preparation of time sensitive reporting and appropriately escalates issues to management.
- No direct reports, provides guidance to more junior team members, as needed.
- Contributes to the achievement of team objectives.
Requirements:
- Essential: Bachelor‘s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Business or Finance degree preferred. Financial Services, Audit or Compliance background is preferred.
- Desirable: Experience in data visualization is a plus. Strong understanding of issues management and reporting best practices is a plus. Knowledge of Compliance Risk Management systems and best practices is a plus. Experience in Internal Audit/Regulatory Liaison role and/or as strategy/program management is a plus.
