We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Associate, Middle Office to join Middle Office team. This role is located in Manchester, UK.
The Role
- To support the Front Office in the execution of their core activities in a changing and dynamic environment by ensuring the provision of accurate, timely and comprehensive information and problem solving for the Investment Fund Managers and Traders.
- To deal with client service queries and interaction with Middle Office in relation to cash queries.
- Ad Hoc assistance with projects where needed, using business knowledge to aid successful implementation
- To continuously review and refine the current processes and existing procedures
- To assist with the development and implementation of strategies and changes to improve processes and reduce risk.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain close working relationship with the Front Office and assist with day to day queries
- Acting as link between front office, Middle Office provider, national and international 3rd parties
- Reconciliations
- Ad hoc cash queries
- Ad hoc cash Reports
- Enhancing Procedures
- Ongoing maintenance of operating model/procedures
- Ensure minimal errors and reconciling items and monitor causes to identify underlying trends
- To manage cash query resolution or escalate issues as appropriate
- To ensure margin processes are run correctly.
Experience & Skills / Knowledge
- Knowledge of the investment management industry, processes and systems
- Knowledge of the reconciliation process
- Previous experience in financial services administration.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office suite.
- Effective time management and ability to work to strict deadlines.
