The Role
This role will involve leading Transactional Finance teams, specifically the processing of payments in and payments out of the business. You will be working to automate and streamline within and across the teams, to ensure processes and procedures are efficient and well controlled. It is essential that you demonstrate role model leadership and management skills and work cross-functionally in Finance. The role reports directly to the Director of Finance and will engage with Directors and Senior Management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the accurate completion of all customer payment processing across various systems and business lines.
- Effective management of suspense items and ensuring follow up for any corrective actions on variances unknown items or transactions within the area.
- Ensuring all customer payments in/out are fully reconciled daily and any discrepancies are investigated and cleared.
- Management of credit balances in line with the local credit balance policy, ensuring compliance with Group and quarterly KPI reporting.
- Sound understanding of debit/credit card payments and associated transactions such as chargebacks and rejections.
- Responsible for all assigned balance sheet reconciliations (including sensitive accounts) ensuring that they are performed as per the local and BNPP Personal Finance policy requirements.
Skills & Attributes:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or qualified by experience.
- Line Management experience, ideally Finance Manager level.
- Adept at building relationships with 3rd party suppliers - Payments Processing, Banking Providers, P2P etc.
- High level of accuracy.
- Can work on own initiative.
