The Role
The Valuation Business Line in the Oxford office has rapidly grown over the past two years, showcasing significant progress. As the Associate Director, your primary responsibility is to assist the Senior Director, gaining extensive experience across a wide spectrum of tasks and engaging directly with clients.
You will work alongside a dedicated team consisting of a Senior Director and a Senior Associate Director. The workload is dynamic, focusing on commercial and residential assessments primarily for loan security purposes. Given the team’s flexible work approach, including remote work and communication via email and phone, adaptability and effective remote collaboration are essential for success in this role.
There is the opportunity for the successful candidate to be based out of our London / Oxford offices.
Responsibilities
- Have an individual fee earning target.
- Be aware of the team’s budget forecast and the role you play in achieving this.
- Understand what generates revenue and makes profit.
- Share knowledge with/ provide information to colleagues and team.
- Mentor other junior colleagues where appropriate and as the team expands.
- Manage existing client relationships at a senior level on a day-to-day basis.
- Identify new business opportunities outside your own discipline and pass these on – cross selling.
- Be responsible for managing instructions or subsections of major projects, collaborating with other teams.
- Work independently on most assignments but seek guidance from senior team members when required, depending on your experience.
- Possess broad knowledge of principles and practices of related disciplines.
- Enhance BNP Paribas Real Estate’s reputation through successful delivery.
- Build your own network within and outside of the Valuation Business Line, relative to your level of seniority.
- Evaluate, adapt, and improve standards, techniques, and procedures.
- Contribute to BNP Paribas Real Estate projects.
Requirements
- Proven track record of delivery in the UK Real Estate market within a consultancy or client background, preferably focused on valuation work.
- Experience in managing a varied and challenging workload.
- Developing a profile as a business generator with assistance from the team.
- Working knowledge of Argus/KEL or other valuation software.
