Job Description
This Project Manager position will provide the successful candidate with a broad array of opportunities to utilize their talents. We seek an individual with considerable attention to detail who will contribute to our team of airport system consultants in project roles from master planning, scheme and concept design, preparation of design and specification documents, cost estimating, and project management through on-site installation and commissioning efforts. In this role, the Project Manager will serve as a liaison between clients, contractors, and BNP, ensuring projects adhere to schedule, budget, and agreed-upon Architecture and Engineering design plans. The Project Manager will coordinate with various team members, including Designers, Project Engineers, Directors, and Executives, to manage project tasks, such as reports, specifications, drawing packages, and client submittals. Under our internal mentorship programme, the Project Manager will learn to develop cohesive development strategies and support team members while advancing their careers.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for clients and contractors.
- Coordinate with Designers, Project Engineers, Directors, and Executives to assign staff and develop all required reports and documentation.
- Collaborate with team members and other Project Managers to find the best solutions for clients.
- Oversee disciplineāspecific baggage handling systems requirements and related areas.
- Manage onāsite activities such as surveys, inspections, installations, and equipment testing.
- Supervise punch list resolution and provide startāup assistance.
- Maintain project budgets and schedules to ensure timely and costāeffective completion.
- Review and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Conduct and analyze system simulations for performance evaluation.
- Provide feedback to Designers and Project Engineers to ensure the quality and accuracy of reports, specifications, and drawing packages.
- Mentor and support Project Engineers and Designers to foster professional growth.

Qualifications
Below is an outline of the qualifications for this position. We have many Project Managers who fall outside of this standard, so please do not be dissuaded from applying if you do not meet particular criteria:
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United Kingdom. Verification of employment eligibility will be required as part of the hiring process.
- Applicants must pass criminal background checks and security screening to obtain airport security badges.
- Ideally more than five (5) years' experience with Baggage Handling Systems or Warehousing.
- Minimum five (5) years' experience in project management (preferably in BHS).
- Ideally, management and teamābuilding experience with large design and development groups.
- Exceptional client rapport and communication skills.
- Skilled in handling multiple responsibilities with efficiency and focus.
- Experience with project logistics, timelines, and budgets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read, interpret, and develop efficient logistics designs and concepts.
- Data acquisition and compilation skills.
- Experience conducting field surveys, inspections, and equipment tests.
- We utilize the latest software package technology in our design efforts, including recent releases of Revit, AutoCAD, Sim 3D, AutoMod, PathPlanner, and the Microsoft Office suite of programs, so experience in any of these would be beneficial.
- Preferred qualifications include a background in mechanical, industrial, or controls engineering. However, civil and electrical engineers, as well as candidates with other educational backgrounds, may be considered if they possess relevant knowledge or experience. Previous experience in conceptual and spatial coordination works with largeāscale hub airports is a valuable asset.
Education
- Fourāyear engineering degree or higher preferred but not required.
- PMP certification preferred but not required.
- Chartered Engineer preferred but not required.
Working Conditions
This is a fullātime position based at our London office located near Heathrow airport. Position offers limited remote work. The role requires occasional travel for siteābased work as well as travel to architectural and engineering partner's offices. Standard 40āhour work week with occasional additional time required to meet deadlines. Projects that the successful candidate will participate in will require background checks and may require drug screening.
SALARY £70,000 - £100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications. We are an equal opportunity employer.
