We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Transport Operative to join our busy team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in a transport office and possess a strong understanding of driver's hours, Working Time Directive (WTD), and container work. An understanding of European operations would be advantageous, along with knowledge of general haulage and backloading processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport Office Operations: Assist in the daily management of the transport office, coordinating logistics and ensuring smooth operational flow.
- Driver Hours & WTD Compliance: Monitor and ensure that all drivers adhere to legal requirements, including driver's hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
- Container Work: Coordinate and manage container transport operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery to customers.
- European Operations (Desirable): Support the planning and execution of European transport operations where necessary, including compliance with international regulations.
- General Haulage: Organise and oversee general haulage operations, ensuring efficient use of fleet resources and compliance with transport laws.
