Our client based in Burton on Trent is now seeking a CNC Operator/Setter/Manual Machinist to join their longstanding small family team. This professional organisation has gained a reputation for the highest standards, so you would be making a great move.

Responsibilities include:

  • Setting and operating Lathes and Milling machines
  • Machining bespoke automotive parts to a high tolerance
  • Working to technical drawings

The following attributes are vital:

  • Great written and verbal skills
  • Knowledge and use of common ‘machine shop’ equipment
  • Solid mechanical and engineering knowledge
  • Read and understand engineering drawings
  • Select tooling
  • Setting and operating CNC Lathes and Millers
  • Ability to read technical drawings essential and work in imperial units

These are desirable:

  • Experience of Haas CNC Lathes & Millers
  • CNC programming knowledge an advantage
  • Effective skills in planning and organising
