Job Opportunity: Senior Operations Analyst – Security Master & Reference Data
An established investment firm is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Senior Operations Analyst. This role is central to investment operations, focusing on managing the Security Master File and maintaining reference data integrity across various asset classes and strategies.
The ideal candidate will own all operational aspects of the Security Master, including asset setup and data scrubbing in collaboration with external vendors. This involves working with complex securities such as syndicated bank loans, private credit, bonds, mortgage-backed securities, asset-backed securities, and CLOs. You will oversee daily data operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and reliable information delivery to stakeholders.
You will collaborate closely with internal partners. Strong relationship management and communication skills are crucial, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing workflows related to security setup and reference data maintenance.
- Leading root cause analysis for data quality issues tied to specific strategies or assets.
- Collaborating with the Technology team on system enhancements and long-term improvements to the Security Master File.
- Developing and refining procedures to enhance operational controls and efficiency.
- Providing transparent, solution-oriented updates to internal stakeholders and management.
What We\’re Looking For:
Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in financial services, especially in investment operations, middle office, or data management roles. A strong understanding of security reference data is essential. Familiarity with Bloomberg, Advent Geneva, and reviewing legal/credit agreements is highly valued.
A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required. Proficiency in Excel and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities under tight deadlines are necessary. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys operational problem-solving, and takes pride in delivering high-quality, reliable work.
