Lloyd Carlisle are looking for a Vehicle Technician.
Your role
As part of a new scheme, we are offering an introductory bonus of up to £2000 for joining the company (Terms & Conditions apply).
Salary: £33,000 – £49,000 depending on experience and qualifications, which also includes uncapped bonuses.
Hours of Work: 41.5 hours per week
Role Responsibilities:
- Complete work orders including details of repairs, parts required, and labour to be charged.
- Test vehicles using measuring devices to provide accurate diagnostic reports to the Workshop Controller.
- Interpret and use technical data and instructions provided by the manufacturer.
- Conduct routine service work on vehicles brought into the workshop.
- Remove and install vehicle components following the manufacturer’s methodology.
- Carry out vehicle health checks and identify areas of concern.
- Prepare vehicles for sale, including new and Approved Used vehicles.
- Perform technical repair work according to established procedures.
- Report and note faults on job cards and inform the Service Manager/Workshop Controller of additional faults or delays.
- Record details of work, hours worked, and materials used.
- Ensure vehicle safety standards are met before returning to customers.
- Protect and keep vehicles clean during service and repair.
- Maintain a clean and tidy workshop at the end of each shift.
