BMW UK, Financial Services, Farnborough – Sales Intermediary Oversight Intern – 13 Month Placement (July 2026)

The opportunity to learn about Sales Intermediary Oversight giving you commercial understanding of how compliance is an important aspect of the financial services industry.

BMW Financial Services aims to ensure good outcomes when customers are purchasing our products and services, in line with the principles of Consumer Duty. BMW Financial Services and Alphabet products and services are typically sold through a network of intermediaries. We aim to ensure we and our Sales Intermediaries offer customers support where needed and the right information for them to make an informed decision. We carry regulatory responsibilities to take reasonable steps to monitor the compliant sale of our finance products and services.

You will support the ongoing oversight of these intermediaries, covering key topics around overall governance, culture and values and sales processes. Sales Intermediary Oversight are a unique team in which we monitor all intermediaries across all our brands to ensure we and they meet key legal and regulatory requirements. There may be some requirement to travel.

What awaits you

  • Support the Sales Intermediary Oversight Managers Team by reviewing compliance Governance, Culture and Values & Sales Processes to mitigate risks by following up on outstanding actions and during onsite meetings.
  • Involved in wider business knowledge via our Sales, Marketing, and internal and external communication.
  • Support the Sales Intermediary Governance team by helping onboard new relationships and support the ongoing maintenance of important data points of the intermediaries we work with.
  • Support the Sales Intermediary Solutions team to analyse the output and implement improvements within the team and our intermediaries.
  • Support the Sales Governance Team by preparing information ahead of legal hearings.
  • Support the generation of updates and information provided to regional team members.

Qualifications and experience

  • Studying towards a bachelor\’s degree and on track to achieve at least a 2:2.
  • Ideally relevant work experience either in sales, marketing or the automotive industry to demonstrate your competencies would be beneficial.
  • A genuine passion and interest in the automotive and finance industry.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use your initiative and manage your own projects/workload autonomously.
