Overview

Parts Operations and Data Analysis – Placement Year. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is part of the BMW Group, with its Goodwood manufacturing plant in West Sussex, England. The 12-month placement (July 2026) offers hands-on experience from day one, practical insights into the corporate operations of a world-class automotive manufacturer, and exposure to longer-term improvement projects benefiting the Aftersales Business. The intern will be a vital asset to support the team from analysis, planning and implementation perspectives, with opportunities to network within Parts Operations and other Rolls-Royce departments.

Responsibilities

  • Supply chain and packaging improvements across multiple suppliers to improve material flow and reduce operational costs.
  • Analyse sales, transport and logistics data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
  • Stock analysis to support the inventory function and improve overall stock accuracy and optimisation.
  • Material master data review to achieve better data quality.
  • Daily and weekly reporting, including the creation of new reports and presentations to monitor multiple performance KPIs.
  • Supporting project activities on an on-demand basis.
  • Process improvements for the Parts Operations teams.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Studying towards a bachelor’s degree and on track to achieve a 2:1 or above.
  • Analytical, logical and self-motivated individual with the ability to think creatively and take initiative.
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining structure and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to assert oneself.
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office package.
