Location: We have offices in Bath, Bristol, Fareham, Glasgow, Plymouth, Weymouth, London and Teddington, and we are happy to explore flexible and hybrid working arrangements. Please note that travel to customer sites (Aldermaston, Reading) or to attend meetings will be required.
Eligibility for this Role
- Be a UK-born sole national.
- Have held no other nationality at any time.
- Have continuously resided in the United Kingdom for the past five years.
- Be able to obtain and maintain full UK security clearance in accordance with government vetting standards.
- Provide satisfactory evidence of identity, nationality, and residency as part of the clearance process.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and guide the technical aspects involved in planning and producing nuclear safety documentation.
- Deliver nuclear safety assessments and related technical documents in line with customer requirements.
- Develop nuclear safety requirements and demonstrate compliance with them.
- Support periodic safety reviews for complex systems and facilities.
- Work collaboratively with clients and partner organisations.
- Provide leadership and line management to junior team members, fostering their development and performance.
About You
- A degree with honours (or equivalent) in science, engineering, or a related field, or comparable professional experience.
- Proven experience in preparing, facilitating, and documenting safety cases and hazard studies for nuclear facilities.
- Previous work within nuclear licensed or authorised sites.
- Experience offering guidance on nuclear and process engineering matters.
- Familiarity with a range of safety assessment methodologies.
- Professional membership of a relevant chartered institution.
- Understanding of Nuclear Authorising and/or Licensing Conditions.
