Overview
Location: in terms of location, we have offices in Bath, London, Fareham, Weymouth, Plymouth & Bristol and we are happy to explore flexible and hybrid working arrangements. Please note that travel to customer sites or to attend meetings will be required.
We are looking for a Talent Development Partner to join our team on a maternity cover basis. This is a full-time, hybrid role with occasional travel to BMT offices. You\’ll work closely with business leaders and the People team to support the delivery of our talent development strategy. Your focus will be on identifying learning needs, designing tailored solutions, and helping our people grow professionally.
Responsibilities
- Working with Capability Managers and People Partners to assess training needs and create development plans
- Designing and delivering bespoke training programmes, workshops, and coaching sessions
- Advising the People team on learning approaches and best practices
- Collaborating with external experts to source high-quality learning resources
- Partnering with the Data and Systems Manager to ensure our learning systems meet organisational needs
- Evaluating training effectiveness and using insights to improve future initiatives
- Keeping up to date with new learning technologies and approaches
- Providing coaching and guidance to colleagues in the People team
- Supporting global projects such as AcuMax rollout and succession planning
- You\’ll report to the Head of Talent Development and work closely with People Projects Managers, Capability Managers, and other colleagues across the People team.
Qualifications and requirements
- Experience in talent development or learning and development
- A strong track record of designing and delivering effective training
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Confidence in analysing and presenting data
- Familiarity with learning management systems and digital learning tools
- Strong project management skills
- A collaborative approach and ability to influence across teams
- A degree in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Psychology, or Business Administration is helpful but not essential.
