Location & Flexibility: Plymouth, Devon. 37.5 hours a week. Average of 40% of the week to be conducting further education on training provider establishments (University of Plymouth and City College Plymouth) in the first year. Year two this value goes down to 30% and in years three and four this value goes down to 20%.

About The Role: As a Mission and Complex Systems Engineering Apprentice, you will play a pivotal role in driving cutting-edge, innovative projects within the maritime defence sector. You will act as a consultant, applying your expertise to solve complex engineering challenges while supporting and contributing to high-impact project deliverables. Alongside your 'on-the-job' work experience, you will embark on a journey of continuous professional development, earning an HNC in Electronic Engineering and a degree in Project Management. This formal learning will be integrated into your role, equipping you with valuable experience, qualifications, and accreditation to build your expertise and advance your career. This role will include both technical and administrative support tasks, enabling you to directly contribute to the successful execution of projects and deliver effective outputs. When you are not on campus studying, you will apply your growing knowledge to provide critical support in both technical advice and project control, ensuring efficiency within projects and meeting high standards.
Qualifications obtained on completion: Project Management (Level 6) Degree and HNC Electronic and Electrical Engineering. During your apprenticeship, you will gain invaluable exposure across multiple areas of the capability, providing you with a diverse and comprehensive experience. You will have the opportunity to engage in projects spanning from the sub-surface domain to participating in innovative trials involving Ministry of Defence assets. This will allow you to develop expertise in a range of areas, contributing directly to cutting-edge advancements in defence technology.
About You: This apprenticeship demands an enthusiastic and driven individual that is also eager to learn, contribute, and make a meaningful impact within the team. This apprenticeship offers the unique opportunity to blend academic achievement with hands-on industry experience in a dynamic and evolving domain. The individual must be able to:

Looking for apprentices that have:
