A leading contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a major development project in the Bedford / Milton Keynes area.
The initial phase of the project involves the demolition of a number of existing residential properties ahead of the main construction works.
As a result, we are looking for a Site Manager with previous demolition experience who is confident managing demolition contractors and overseeing works safely through to completion.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile scheme at an early stage and play a key role in preparing the site for the next phase of development.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing demolition and enabling works on site
- Coordinating subcontractors and daily site activities
- Ensuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with programme
- Conducting inductions, toolbox talks and site inspections
- Managing RAMS, permits and site documentation
- Liaising with project teams, consultants and stakeholders
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance
- Monitoring progress, quality and programme delivery
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Site Manager on demolition projects or demolition packages
- SMSTS
- CSCS Card
- First Aid at Work
- Strong knowledge of site health and safety procedures
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage subcontractors and drive works on site xgikmsk
Desirable (but not essential)
- CCDO qualification
- Demolition Supervisor or Demolition Management experience
- Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) or Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC)
- Asbestos Awareness
